Star Wars

Welcome to our first ever podcast discussion on all things Star Wars!  I can’t tell you how excited we are to be adding this new show to our normal circulation.  This is Mark and I have to confess that I am one of the biggest Star Wars fans out there.  When this show was proposed it was a nearly instantaneous “yes” from everyone here at I, Geek.  Of course, that’s not that surprising considering the content material, who we are, and what we represent here at I, Geek.

I’ll cut straight to it.  This show is about EVERYTHING within the realm of Star Wars.  We will cover the movies, the books, the Extended Universe, the Canon, video games, comics, speculation and hearsay.  If it has to do with Star Wars, we’ll be discussing it here.  And yes, that includes the oft mentioned Star Wars Holiday Special.  There’s a plan in place for a show devoted to that vitriol inducing show sometime at the end of 2016.

In our first show, Steven and I cover a variety of topics.  We start with Episode VIII’s release date being bumped and what that might mean, Disney’s creation of the Extended Universe and the new Canon material, and we round out the episode with a discussion of Rey.  And lest I forget, Steven decides he wants to forward the idea of Jar Jar Binks as a Sith Lord.  A few minutes into that discussion and you’ll start to hear the annoyance in my voice.  But alas, it was still pretty funny to discuss.

Instead of giving much else away and spoiling the entire episode, I’ll let you listen for yourself.  As always, feel free to send us any comments or messages here, through our Facebook page, or through Twitter.  And feel free to share the show with any and all who might enjoy some Star Wars talk.
